Stitch Fix #8 - August 2015

August is that time of year when I don't want summer to end but I can't stop thinking about fall fashion!  Booties.  Long cardigans.  Scarfs.  Since I started Stitch Fix in February 2015, I just got a taste of the fun winter stuff they send, so I can't wait to see what fall brings!

This fix was still very much a summer fix which is great because its still gorgeous out and we are headed on vacation soon!

For those of you who found me from a Pinterest post and might not have heard of Stitch Fix, it's a personal styling program that's takes your input to create a style profile for $20 each time you want a "fix".  I currently have mine set up for monthly.  If you keep one or more items the $20 fee is subtracted from the balance due. As a bonus, if you buy all five items they send you, they give you a 25% discount which can be pretty great if you love everything they send!!  How do they know what they pick for you will fit?  It's magic, I am sure of it.  So far the two pair of jeans I have purchased from Stitch Fix fit me better than ANY pair I have tried on in a store and purchased for myself.

I am very diligent about adding items regularly to my Stitch Fix Inspiration board on Pinterest and left a note for my stylist so she would know what I was looking for.  I feel I have had really great success using this service, so I try to give as much feedback to my stylist as possible!

Ok.  Here are the details of my eighth box from Stitch Fix that my stylist chose for me:

1) BRIXON IVY Gaelle Crochet Skirt ($68)
2) FUN2FUN Broden Crochet Neckline Top ($38)
3) SKIES ARE BLUE Krishna Cutout Detail Top ($44)
4) BRIXON IVY Linus Maxi Dress ($78)
5) BRIXON IVY Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse ($68)

So, here is how I decided which items to keep:

BRIXON IVY Gaelle Crochet Skirt ($68)

What a fun color!  The detail and quality of this skirt was amazing!  I am just not sure the pencil skirt fit on me works, but it was a beautiful skirt!

 Verdict: GOING BACK

FUN2FUN Broden Crochet Neckline Top ($38)

My stylist knows I LOVE small details on tops and this one had a great neckline!  The color was also gorgeous!  I just wasn't sure about the boxy fit on me, and the fabric was a bit thin.  It would be great for a warm summer night!

 Verdict: GOING BACK

SKIES ARE BLUE Krishna Cutout Detail Top ($44)

Love it.  Love the fit.  Love the length.  Love the pattern.  I never would have tried this on in a boutique or store and it is my favorite shirt of all time from Stitch Fix.  That is why this service is so wonderful!!! (I wore it the first night out of the box).
 Verdict: GET IN MY CLOSET!!!

BRIXON IVY Linus Maxi Dress ($78)

I have been desperate to find a maxi dress this summer and this one came close to staying with me, however it was a bit long and I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with having it altered since we were 1/2 way through summer already.  The print and fabric were gorgeous!  I also loved the gathered waistline (rather than a tie wast)!

 Verdict: GOING BACK

BRIXON IVY Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse ($68)

I came SO CLOSE to keeping this shirt, and I am still not sure I should have sent it back.  The color was FABULOUS and the detail was beautiful.  It hangs very nicely and has a nice zipper back for a polished look.  I had already decided to keep the Krishna top above and I just decided with my budget this month to send it back.  Who knows...I might need to request this one again!!!

 Verdict: GOING BACK

AUGUST 2015 FIX = 1 new 'pretty' in my closet.
